Every day is a new day

The date today is...05/05/05 .... and therefore it is the day of many forwards in my inbox. Usually I adopt a brutal attitude towards forwards but I made the mistake of opening this one. Whats more, I sent it out to my friends. It said something to the effect of "we will see this date only once in our lifetime, hurray" ... a friend of mine who is an investment banker and therefore very quick to tell the difference between truly important numbers from the merely hyped ones was quick to point out that we've all lived through 04/04/04 and 03/03/03 ... which I must confess was quite deflating. So it aint that special after all. However, its a damn good reason to celebrate if you dont got one. also, notice that the American dd/mm/yyyy and the Indian mm/dd/yyyy formats will actually agree on this date....wow!....lets break out the champagne (spelling?) My friend also added that every day comes once in a lifetime, which is quite a thought.....I think I could conjure my own email with that, and add to it a Flash animation of a blossoming rose - then I cud place it in the forwarding loop.

wat about 01/01/01....or am I making a mistake.Such mails came to me too. However we have been born in special times for sure.I saw Hailey's comet when I was a kid...once in 76.5 years I guess, then two EIDs falling in the same year sometimes back..once in a 36.5 year phenomena, change of a century,2000 a leap year ending with 3 zeroes...once in 400 years.

...deserves more than a champagne ;) !!!
